appearance ; alexa is a natural beauty, but not in her own eyes. a little makeup never hurt anyone, right? her chocolate brown hair flows down past her shoulders and is naturally straight. her eyebrows are the same color and naturally arched. her skin is pale, which is one of her insecurities. unfortunately for her, whenever she tries to get a tan, she gets sunburnt. her ice blue eyes are framed by thick dark brown eyelashes, usually covered with black lash stilettos mascara. her lips are a light pink color. alexa is very thin and about 5'6.

that's a lie. it's all a lie. the act that the cunningham family puts on may fool many, but in reality, nothing is perfect or loving in that household. she had a mother, a father, and a ... sort of brother. things were.. well, complicated.

it's true. well, partially true. alexa was extremely smart, always acing the most difficult tests. she was at the top of her class. but the thing was, she rarely got any sleep. she stayed up from midnight till morning studying for exams and tests. she was determined to make her family proud.

here's the conflict - alexa's brother, gabe died when he was only 16 months old. her mother was so devastated then that she still hasn't let it go. she hallucinates and believes that gabe is in front of her eyes, now 18 years old, just like her daughter, alexa, and her husband. she's the only person who can see him.

alexa had finally decided to let her new boyfriend meet her family. as they sat down at the dinner table, her tension rose. her dad talked to him like he might talk to an old friend - mom was fixing something in the kitchen.. everything was going perfectly. until mom came out of the kitchen doorway holding a card that read 'happy birthday!' on the front in large blue bubble letters. crap.
 
'who's birthday is it...?' henry, alexa's boyfriend, asked curiously. he hadn't seen anyone else in the house.

because of her mother's mentall illness and because she was so attatched to the imaginary gabriel, alexa often got stressed trying to prove her worth. she was always cast aside - no matter how hard she tried, she seemed invisible.

alexa began taking piano lessons once a week at the age of 8 to give her mother more time to herself. eventually, she began teaching herself throughout the rest of the week and finds playing the piano to be an escape from the struggles of her life.

needless to say, she's always had a difficult life. but when her mother was found in the living room with self - inflicted razor wounds to her wrists and all of the pills her doctor had given her had been dumped into the garbage bin, alexa's father decided that it was time to send their daughter away to a better school in a different place. it wasn't fair for her to have to deal with this. at first, she didn't want to go, but then she realized that there wouldn't be a 'gabe' to have to constantly compete with for love and attention. so that's why she's here.

when asked about her personal life, she usually becomes silent, as she has hardly heard from family since the car ride to this new school. the whole issue with her mother's mental disorder is too hard to explain, plus, she's afraid that people would automatically assume she was like her mother - a hallucinating lunatic.

Biography ; Lisbeth was born in Limerick, Ireland, a pretty vibrant city. So, as some would guess, she loves to party. When she was thirteen, the Swann family moved to the United States, where she tried soccer. And volleyball. And softball. She wasn't exactly the best on the team, plus she never understood why all the other girls were so open to running around like boys and sweating like pigs. So she quit the teams halfway through the season and tried gymnastics. A broken foot got her out of that. Well, what was there left to do? Nothing pysical. So her father convinced her to take a creative writing class. Reluctantly, she went into the classroom... and after it was over, she loved it. She had finally found something that she excelled at. Lisbeth kept taking the classes, looking forward to each Tuesday and Thursday. A few years passed. Lisbeth was doing well in school - better than she was earlier, she was writing amateur novels and screenplays, and she had thought about trying to quit making herself throw up to look beautiful. Then, her father told her that she would be sent to Jackson Prep. She replied with a tilt of the head and a quiet, "Jackson Prep...?". Her father nodded and drove her... well... here.
